Greystone Peripherals, founded in 1992, is a leading developer of high quality and affordable disk drive duplication systems designed to meet a variety of customer needs. At the outset it was the first in the industry to introduce PCMCIA readers for Desktop computers capable of utilizing the new PCMCIA cards that were popularized in notebook computers. Knowing that the computer manufacture and system builder was looking for an affordable solution to rolling-out computer systems with pre-loaded software we were then the first to design, manufacture and sell stand-alone, multiple-target, hard drive duplication systems to the Computer OEM.
The DataFast™ line of duplication products was designed to satisfy hard drive duplication needs ranging from portable single target to multiple target systems used to clone, backup, or duplicate software in production line environments. Our standard products support all popular interfaces governed by the ATA and SCSI committees, and utilize powerful utilities and applications software designed by the Greystone engineering team.
Our duplication systems offer flexibility for unique Customer requirements and time-tested reliability for lower (TCO) total cost of ownership. Innovative solutions for the IT community are made possible from our large software engineering crew that is dedicated to designing versatile software, which is the true power of the DataFast™ systems. This team is led by a peripherals group experienced in HDD servo-writer design to HDD drive repair service. Unique demands from the Military and Set-Top Box (STB) manufacturers have proven Greystones commitment to innovation by supporting creative companies in meeting their core specific and mission critical goals. Our aspirations in providing innovative IT solutions to companies such as these are realized in these types of partnerships.
In November 2000 the name was changed to Greystone Data Technology, Inc. The Card-Dock products had reached their end-of-life (EOL) and hard drive duplication became our primary focus. Greystone Data Technology expanded its range of products in 2003 by creating Greystone Test Systems to provide affordable stand-alone peripheral test equipment for the computer system market beginning with HDD and LCD testers.
Our DataFast product line is sold either direct or through the reseller channel to provide the Customer flexibility and discretional support. This website refers to various products and companies by their trade names. In most cases, if not all, these designations are claimed as trademarks or registered trademarks by their respective companies.
